March Musings & Offerings

First a big THANK YOU to those of us who joined us for our amazing, amazing Restorative Yoga Weekend...so much release, so much realized. Such an inspiring, lovely group gathered.

Also, Spring seems to have arrived a bit early here...the cherry trees budding already (something I don't usually see until mid-March). We also enjoyed some full on beach days over the past weekend...the combination of bathing suits and sweatshirts, kids running away from the cold water, surfers in wetsuits sitting in the backs of their pickup trucks...some sun salutations on our blanket with face to the sun.

It felt like summer with a bit of a crisp edge.

We are ready.

Though we are always ready for summer here at the beach...

Now, a few big things to share with you this month:

First is our first ever YOGA CHALLENGE!

Complete 20 classes during the month of March and be entered in a drawing to win 3-months of free unlimited yoga!

To make that easier on you...our March Special is 1-month of Unlimited Yoga for $75 (usually $120 - so that is nearly 40% savings)!

Also, in light of...lightness...the return of the sun and the desire for feelings of lightness of body, mind and spirit we are bringing back our CLEANSE WEEKEND!

Details on our events page...love to have you with us!

Karma Yoga

Each teacher training session, our student-teachers initiate a personal Karma Yoga service project. As part of their training, they then lead our Karma Yoga classes each Sunday afternoon, with collected donations benefitting their project.

Please join us each Sunday this month at 4:30p and help our students on their path to becoming beautiful guides and instructors.

Restorative Yoga is just what it sounds like...a time of deep nurturing restoration. It's a practice consisting of just a few poses, deeply propped and held in a relaxing way for an extended time.

Some of the benefits include:

- slows down the pace of life
- soothes the nervous system
- encourages mindfullness
- cultivates heightened body awareness and healing
- strengthens feelings of safety
- nurtures self-care

About this Workshop:
In this skill-building workshop, Anne will guide you into an understanding of how restorative poses create balance within the subtle energy system, proper prop placement (including for those with injuries), gentle adjustment of physical and energetic misalignments, the use of your voice and verbal cues, breath/pranayama, meditation and mantra.

Upon completion, students will be able to develop, practice and guide restorative yoga classes.

January Musing & Offerings

The end of the year is such a natural time for reflection and 2016
simultaneously gave us so much to be thankful for and so many challenges.

As the days grew shorter, and moved closer to my daughters 3rd birthday (today!), I kept thinking...

We only get one chance with this life, this body.
What can I do to simplify things so I live more fully in the present, with her.
What can I let go of?
What are the obstacles holding me back from feeling whole?
What does being whole even feel like?

And a few of the things my body, my soul answered...

* release much of the technology that bogs you down
* release the need to get it all done before you allow yourself
the things that fill you up
* forgive
* remember

so in 2017, i will patiently cultivate that which brings me a feeling of wholeness
*more movement
*more nature
*more love
*more ritual & practice
*more light
*more being
*a lot more kindness and a lot less judgement

because,
there is time for this.
