Restorative Yoga is just what it sounds like...a time of deep, nurturing, restoration. It’s a practice consisting of just a few poses, deeply propped and held in a relaxing way for an extended time.

About this Workshop:
In this skill-building workshop, Anne will guide you into an understanding of how restorative poses create balance within the subtle energy system, proper prop placement (including for those with injuries), gentle adjustment of physical and energetic misalignments, the use of your voice and verbal cues, breath/pranayama, meditation and mantra.op, practice and guide restorative yoga classes.

Bhakti is the yoga of devotion. Using the ancient texts as a guide, we will engage with how can we infuse our practice - and our teaching - with devotional attention. Leaning in to the understanding that adjustments are not merely about the physical alignment of our bodies but also the spiritual alignment of the practitioner… it’s about the moments when we move from the expression of the divine within to it’s outer form.

DIRECTOR OF YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM + STUDIO MANAGER + YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Anne is our studio manager, the director of our Yoga Teacher Training program - Amalam School of Yoga at Outer Banks Yoga, and the heart & soul of the studio.

She has been practicing Yoga for nearly two decades. She began her journey in France when she was traveling often between Europe and Indonesia and felt she needed a nourishing practice that she could bring with her anywhere. After she moved to the US she pursued her 500-hour yoga teacher certification.

A beloved teacher, she leads classes that are truly dynamic and challenging, yet balanced with softness, relaxation and humor. She also instructs and trains teachers in all forms of yoga as well as restorative, pre-natal and kids yoga.
